O’tega Ogra has been elected to the Executive Committee of the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA), a major global body representing advertisers. This development was announced on or around April 21–22, 2026, and has been widely celebrated in Nigeria as a significant milestone for the country’s advertising and marketing industry including a congratulatory message from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The prominent Nigerian strategic communications, marketing, and digital strategy executive. He currently serves as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Digital Engagement, Strategy, and New Media. He is widely regarded as one of West Africa’s leading experts in corporate communications, brand strategy, crisis management, reputation management, and digital marketing.
Before his appointment as the SSA to Nigeria’s President, he started his career as a Field Officer for HIV/AIDS and Reproductive Health with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) in North East Nigeria, later joined Guaranty Trust Bank in 2008 and then the age of 24 rose on the corporate ladder at Wema to become the Head, Corporate Communications.
