The tightly fought contest which saw the top contender from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) rely on the incumbency factor and support from the Local Government Chairman and Executive Governor being members of the PDP. The victory of Amb. Kennedy against all odds stomped resoundingly the wishes of the people leaving little room for dispute. At the aftermath of the “Not too Young to Run Act” it is no surprise that young Nigerians like Amb. Kennedy who marched to see it come to pass take a bold stand to put his money where his mouth is.
