Mr Innocent Idibia popularly known as Tuface or Tubaba has been appointed by the Benue State governor, Rev Fr. Hyacinth Alia to serve as his Technical Adviser on Entertainment and Community Outreach. The African Queen world renowned musician, producer and entertainer received a warm reception by the state government for the announcement of the appointment in the Benue People’s House, Makurdi the state capital.
The 49 year old Benue internationally celebrated music star is one of the most influential and greatest Afrobeats artists of all time following his contributions to Nigerian pop music in the 2000s.
During the presentation of the appointment letter to Tubaba by the Executive Governor of Benue State, His Excellency, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia expressed appreciation to the entertainment Star for his support of the administration and reposed confidence in the fact that the appointment will boost the state’s entertainment industry and attract foreign direct investment into the state.
The appointment of the world renowned entertainer is a positive move by the state government to change the state’s image from the recent herders unrest and carnage, and foster a positive secured and hospitable environment. Many observers expect that Tubaba will leverage on his international appeal to promote Benue talents and enhance the state’s entertainment and hospitality industry.
